Death
It’s a part of life,
and it happens daily
but yet every time someone dies
we’re all shocked.
It’s as if aliens invaded our planet
because no one is ever prepared.
There’s no heads up,
or warning.
It just happens.
Suddenly.
Abruptly.
Unexpectedly.
God always needs new angels
to walk the grounds of his Heaven.
And this time it was you.
For the first time in weeks
the sun was actually shining down on us.
And I know that’s your way of telling the people who care
“I am happy.”
